Mr. T on his talents: ''Everything I touch turns to gold.''
Confidence is key to success in any career. If you start thinking you’re average or that you don’t deserve to win, you set yourself up for failure. Mr. T would probably pity "the fool" who didn't recognize their own talent, because the actor made sure others knew he was a gamechanger.
Before The A-Team aired and he took on the role of B.A. Baracus, Mr. T was sure the show would be a success. "I figured it would be, not being cocky or conceited, knowing the type of guy I am. I've always been a winner. There's something that sets me apart from everybody else." This kind of self-belief is something we can all learn from. As long as we don’t use our confidence to look down on others, thinking well of ourselves can help us grow.
Mr. T also shared that when the creator of The A-Team invited him to join, he only asked for the freedom to perform his way. "When Stephen Cannell called me about The A-Team, I said, ‘If you let me do my thing, can't anybody do it better.’ Don't restrict me or hold me back, it'll flow. There's just a certain chemistry that I have that draws people to me."

He went on, "Maybe they're awed by my presence, or maybe they like me... Like I said, not being cocky or conceited, everything I touch turns to gold. I know if I do my best God'll do the rest."
Many actors have to adapt themselves to fit their roles, but Mr. T believed that B.A. Baracus was made for him. Given his confidence and determination, it’s easy to see why.
